Important course requirements

If you have held a forklift license before, but failed to renew your SafeWork High Risk License, you are eligible to apply for this course. You will need to provide evidence that you previously held a forklift license.

Enrolment requirements

  • Previous experience — Have you operated a forklift in the workplace recently under supervision of a licensed person. Are you be able to provide evidence of your forklift operating experience?

  • Understand and speak the English language. You will have to complete a basic literacy and numeracy test on the day.

  • 100 points identification and USI demonstrate proof that you have a current NSW address. You also need a Unique Student Identification Number (USI)

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Important steps to attain your Forklift Operator License

  • Prior to attending the course, you must complete and deliver all of the study material that you will receive when you enrol.

  • You are also required to view our online training video about site and vehicle inspections.

  • Arrive on time at the nominated assessment site. Failure to do so will exclude you from the course.

  • You will need to demonstrate your forklift operating ability by conducting lifts into pallet racking to be signed off by our accredited trainer as being competent. You will then proceed to undertake a SafeWork NSW Exam delivered by a SafeWork Accredited Assessor.

  • If your require further training or are unsuccessful in your SafeWork Assessment you can attend our two day course at additional cost
