Working at Heights one-day training course
Course code: RIIWHS204E (Work Safely at Heights) delivered and Assessed by Talented Training RTO.
Our training course is designed to prepare anyone for safe and effective work from a height. You’ll gain understanding of risk assessment and control, and hazard elimination. You’ll learn about Australian Standards and regulations for the correct use of equipment.
Flexible training format: We provide flexible format for learning with assessment activities that are ensured to provide every opportunity for participants to demonstrate their skills and abilities.
Training can be conducted at your work site or off-site at one of our purpose built training facilities. We offer flexible courses running either during the week or on weekends. On site training for employers requires a minimum number of employees.
Language, literacy, and numeracy: You will complete a short literacy and numeracy assessment. Depending on your learning abilities, the Trainer can spend extra time assisting you. We can tailor the training and assessment program to assist people with learning issues.
Your trainer: You’ll be trained by an accredited trainer who is experienced Height Safety Specialist. This course is offered through the Talented Training (RTO #45144)

$350 per applicant.($100 deposit is paid on registration, the balance paid on the day.)

The WAH Course is delivered in Armidale.
Our location in Armidale: New England Freighters, 262 Mann St, Armidale.
Corporate registrations: We can deliver the training on your site if trainee numbers are adequate.

Appropriate clothing and shoes: hi-visibility shirt/vest; enclosed shoes or boots
Health and fitness levels to carry out tasks safely.

You will learn everything you need to safely work at heights including:
Regulations and legislation
Australian Standards
Risk assessment and hazard elimination
Equipment selection and use
Anchor systems, selecting solid and reliable anchorage
Fall restraint systems, selection of equipment and correct use
Work positioning systems, selection of equipment and correct use
Fall arrest systems
Using energy absorbing lanyards
Correct use of ladders and ladder safety training.
This course is for beginners as well as those with prior experience.
An experienced trainer will work with you to ensure you are competent and confident by the end of your training.

You will be assessed on all practical and technical tasks covered during the course.

On successful completion of the assessment including your competency, you will be issued with a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment.
